New tests, checkpoint descriptions and more
Today's update introduces three new tests for all users along with a range of improvements.
Big stuff
- New Favicons test - identifies pages that are missing Favicons.
- New Images test - shows what images a site uses, their alt text and sizes.
- New Server Behavior test - checks for common server issues such as missing 404 pages, and the absence of SSL.
- All Checkpoints now have helpful descriptions beneath them.
Small stuff
- Scores now update in the sidebar without refreshing the page.
- All checks for alternative text now look for 'machine generated' text that is clearly not human friendly, e.g
1324786238746723
or foo__bar--1
.
- The Add website dialog is now configurable. Some customers may see more or fewer options up-front, to make it faster to add sites, or easier to configure them up front.
