Limit how fast Silktide downloads a website
If you are having difficulty testing a website in Silktide, it is possible that Silktide is trying to download more content than a website can handle.
By default, Silktide will attempt to download up to six pages from a website at once, which is equivalent to six people viewing a website at once. This is normally a safe target, but if you wish you can reduce it:
- View the website you want to configure
- Click Settings > Website settings
- Select Advanced
- Enter a new value in the Max connections box and click Save
If you are having difficulties we recommend setting Max connections to 2.
